William W. Webb, Jr., L.S., P.E.

Principal:

Mr. Webb has a vast amount of experience in the surveying and civil engineering industry. For over 35 years he has produced a high quality product while providing his clients with exceptional service.   This commitment to excellence has enabled Mr. Webb to earn a reputation as one of the area’s most outstanding surveyors. Mr. Webb’s broad knowledge of surveying, engineering and construction practices have enabled him to provide sound designs and recommendations that meet the client’s needs while keeping construction costs to a minimum. Mr. Webb graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia. Outside the office, Mr. Webb is a Board Member of Union First Market Bank.

Daniel C. Webb, P.E.

Principal Engineer:

Mr. Webb has designed well over 100 commercial sites, residential subdivisions, and road improvement projects. He has also worked on numerous rezoning cases and master planned several mixed use developments. This experience has enabled him to quickly determine the most cost effective design for a project. Building on his father’s commitment to excellence, Mr. Webb’s vision, oversight and guidance has enabled Webb & Associates to grow into one of the premier civil engineering firms in the area. Being on Town Council for the Town of Bowling Green has given him a unique perspective of the challenges operating a local government. This combined experience has contributed to Mr. Webb’s philosophy of providing a superior product while working quickly and efficiently to complete the job. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Chad L. Webb, L.S.

Principal Surveyor:

Mr. Webb has over sixteen years’ experience in the surveying field giving him a complete knowledge of surveying practices. His department offers comprehensive surveying services including boundary surveys, construction stakeout, topographic surveys, asbuilt surveys and GPS. Mr. Webb’s ability to provide a wide range of services with state of the art equipment enables Webb & Associates meet clients’ needs quickly. He graduated from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College with an Associate in Applied Science in Architecture and Civil Engineering Technology.

 

 

David W. Richardson

Director of Engineering/Business Development:

Mr. Richardson has a seventeen year tenure with Webb and Associates performing residential and commercial design. He also has nine years’ experience in land development, construction and property management of commercial, residential and mixed use projects. His overall knowledge of engineering, architecture, construction, utilities and development give him the ability to merge any project together and find conflicts and generate solutions before they are constructed along with value engineering during the design phase. Outside the office, David is involved with community projects, as well as an executive board member for FASA, a travel soccer coach, a referee, and a deacon of Fairview Baptist Church.

Benjamin T. Johnson

Engineering Technician:

Mr. Johnson has worked for Webb & Associates for over eight years. Mr. Johnson attended Virginia Tech, J. Sargeant Reynolds and John Tyler Community College where he completed extensive course work in Civil Engineering. He has over 24 years of experience in the Civil Engineering field. Prior to his tenure with Webb & Associates, Mr. Johnson worked for the Virginia Department of Transportation for over 16 years and has vast experience in road design and all aspects of site development. When not at the office, Ben is a Trustee at Wright’s Chapel United Methodist Church located in Ladysmith, VA and regularly does volunteer work in the areas of construction, youth education, and gleaning of food for the hungry.

Kendra Branum-Schmidt

Office Manager:

Mrs. Branum-Schmidt has been with Webb and Associates for two years with eleven years administrative experience. She oversees the daily operations by maintaining and organizing office systems and procedures. She is in charge of Human Resources for the company, procurement and prepares most project permitting for both local and state government agencies along with controlling correspondence. She handles customer inquiries, with an emphasis on internal and external customer relations along with coordinating office staff activities, scheduling of work and appointments with clients.

Mrs. Shannon L. Mattison, P.E.

Project Engineer:

Mrs. Shannon L. Mattison, P.E. will serve as a project engineer. In this role she will provide engineering support to the project manager. Ms. Mattison is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Virginia. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clarkson University. Ms. Mattison has over 17 years of experience in the civil engineering field. Mrs. Mattison has been employed at Webb & Associates for approximately two years.  Her experience includes engineering design, project management and permitting.   Her area of expertise includes overall site development and planning, stormwater management and design, hydrology, water and wastewater utilities, permitting, road design and other activities associated with all aspects of commercial and residential development.

Stephen L. Ball, P.E.

Project Engineer:

Mr. Ball is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Virginia and Florida. He has over 30 years of experience in the Civil and Environmental engineering field. He has a Master of Engineering degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Mary Washington College.

Mr. Ball has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. This experience provides a valuable perspective. In his engineering and management experience in the public sector his positions allowed him to work closely with Utility operations and maintenance staff at all levels throughout the water and wastewater systems. This not only provides an understanding of how municipal utilities operate and what their needs are, it also instilled the importance and value of obtaining and incorporating input from utility personnel into engineering design in order to produce an end product that not only meets an engineering need but is also the best available option from an operational standpoint.

Mr. Ball has worked as a project manager and project engineer for Webb & Associates since 2003. During his tenure with Webb & Associates, Mr. Ball has designed and managed numerous residential subdivision and commercial site plan projects which include all aspects of site plan design, site layout, parking, pavement design, water supply, storage and distribution, water collection and pumping systems, wastewater collection and pumping systems, and stormsewer and stormwater management systems.

Prior to his employment with Webb & Associates Mr. Ball worked for various municipalities including the City of Gainesville, Florida where he served as Director of Engineering. In this capacity Mr. Ball oversaw the design and operation of the water and wastewater systems serving over 60,000 customers. Mr. Ball also served as the Town Engineer for the Town of Orange, Virginia and as a project engineer for the Rapidan Service Authority, which provides water and wastewater service to the Virginia counties of Green County, Orange County and Madision County.
